Boyle transport court case.

It was on the local radio over here today, scroll to 5 minutes 40 seconds to hear the start. Its the N. Irish version of the Jeremy Vine show but she doesn’t broadcast from up her own arse so it doesn’t sound muffled.

As with all these programs the only drivers that actually got on air to make their comments were idiots. One was complaining that he was disturbed from sleeping by the Police because he was parked on the hard shoulder of the M6, another complained when VOSA parked him up when he was over his hours. :unamused:

From what the filth said they are gathering intelligence on a few more and not just from this country. I think there will be quite a lot of stuff going through shredders today just in case.

Might be some more jobs going there then ?

Firms like this are are a complete disgrace and make it more difficult for law abiding operators to complete. Why did two MPs and a priest give character references on behalf of the directors ? This was not a case of going over the hours on a few occasions , it was a regular occurence .

bloody hell one was a ■■■■■■ :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

if you notice the bit where it says 18,000 documents were reviewed, that will be ferry crossings and booking in times at rdc’s and the like.

some time back boyle transport was in the magazines. 14 in court i think. (drivers and directors).
i had a brief chat to one of boyles drivers on the newhaven-dieppe ferry about 2 months ago. he said he was due in court, and a lot of drivers had quit boyles. but i don’t remember when he said the court case was up.
so any news would be interesting.

Why dont you keep your nose out of other
Peoples buisness when you are so full off [zb] yourself
Its People like you that give drivers a bad
name gosiping

what an arsewipe you are.
it is in the NEWS, you ■■■■.

Yea but yea, but if you hadn’t mentioned it no-one would have known, so it must be all your fault  :unamused:

Yeah but Yeah but, its rogues like these that need as much publicity as possible, then anyone else thinking of going the same way might just sit up and think twice about it… We all have tongues in our heads,
we just have to say NO if we are asked to run illegal, and the law is on our side…

Looking at the age of these guys none of them were young naive boys, how many 20+ hour driving stints :open_mouth: do you do before you realise it,s time to tell the boss to shove it, were they really that desperate for a job, I met one of their drivers a few times on the ferry he always looked totally knackered. I reckon they should think themselves lucky that one of them isn,t facing a manslaughter charge.

Some of you on here seem to think this tacho fiddling is something new,the only new part is the locking up of offenders. When I started in this industry fiddling the log book was the business for some and through all the changes to recording they have never devised a system that couldn.t be fiddled,‘Ever wonder why not’.And I am quite sure in another 40 years the recording of hours will still be fiddled.Best you get used to it.

Just coz it’s been around forever, doesn’t mean we should “get used to it”. Burglary has been around since the first monkey went into a cave - should we “get used” to that too? How about murder? That’s been around since man first found that a rock to the back of the head was a useful negotiating tool. :unamused:

Not me mate,I don,t think it,s new, that,s because I used to be guilty of it round about the same era you mention, but I wasn,t old or wise enough to know any better, that,s the point I was trying to make, these guys due to their age and potential experience, should have been.

■■■■■ you’ve answered your own question burglary, murder happens every day people might not like it but they get used to it happening daily.

So it’s OK then, is it?

■■■■■ your elected representatives must think it’s ok otherwise they would perhaps make the punishments more fitting. And Robroy age and experience doesn’t seem to stop hours offences,a system that couldn’t be interfered with would.Penalties in France for fiddling are,as I am sure you are aware, measured in 1,000’s tends to make most of us behave ourselves.

most of us hand on heart no fiddling is wrong, however i think equally most of us have had to do it. were i worked in the 90s we were regularly fiddling tachos, and looking back we know it was wrong, but at the time it was neccesary to earn a wage, and keep jobs. i cant see it ever been eradicated. boyles have been caught, but how many more escape?? we had 25 - 30 drivers, regularly fiddling on uk and european roads and nobody within the company ever faced any sanctions during the 9 years i worked there
