Boulogne Sur Mer

Im Going over to BSM at the start of October to take photos around the Fish Market, I wandered if there is any places anyone can recommend looking for trucks parked up?
Cheers

Every time I come that way there are trucks everywhere, don’t think you will have a problem finding them. there’s always plenty about the fish market.

Not sure about truck ferries now, but there was a fast cat running out of there a while back, think it was LD Lines.

Truck and car ferry run by LD lines from Dover to Boulogne, was on it last month bit of an old boat but not too bad really , 1hr45 crossing,
Just outside the port there is a massive fish wherehouse with dozens of trucks lined up on the loading bays, should be able to take loads of pics there.

just dont wear anything metallic…

best place is rue de alexandra you can see loads on the bays and opposite is the parking areas then go to the roundabout and turn right down to near the old ferry port there is about 25 cobbled parking bays on the quay opposite jack and findus france hope this helps

dover boulogne finished last week; boat being put on St.Nazaire to Gijon to grab owners LD/GNV a nice £120k per week EU subsidy (guaranteed for 4 years) under the ‘Motorways of the Sea’ scheme to get trucks off the roads :unamused:

Ahh well that explains why i couldnt book again for that crossing later this year, so no crossing to Boulogne anymore :unamused: , looks like ill have to go on Norfolk line/DFDS, on the dunkirk crossing then,

Boulogne Sur Mer is a beautiful place, with a very nice port, some fine restaurants and the Old Town “Haute Ville”, I believe that there are are no direct ferries there any more however it is only a short train journey from Calais.

Im sure thers a nice collection of beach towels to be seen on the trucks aswell to stop what you are digging at!!!

took a while, but at least someone twigged, just my cynical sense of humour…
