I see a lot of complaints from drivers who are delivering to companies, so I’d like to break the mould.
I had a bit of a spill on my motorcycle on Boxing Day after losing the front end under braking, this resulted in me having limited use from my right arm.
I got to Bougheys to deliver, with a container (we all know what these doors can be like).
They booked me in, then a fork lift driver comes and gets you from the trailer park, you follow him round, he opened the doors, then after tipping he gave me a hand to close the doors again.
I then went to security to leave with my empty container, but they wanted to look in it, 1 of the security guards actually helped me open and close the door so they could check it.
So, I’d like to say thanks and well done to the guys there for knowing I could use the help and for being willing to actually help.

Sounds good fella, to be fair this is probably what happens most of the time, but as you say people generally only shout about the bad times.
This is true, years ago I was told that when something good happens to people they will tells 5 or 6 people, when something bad happens they will tell everyone they come across.
Good news about the job, bad news about the bike.
ive only ever loaded out of boughey’s once… and i must say it was a good experience… they wer very busy , but got to me pretty quick and didnt mess about while loading… two forkies just got on with it.
I have never had (in my short time) any issues anywhere dropping off or picking up flt’s, everyone has been friendly and helpful.
Even when I am at our depot and a wagon comes in and know one is about I will jump on a usually random flt and unload him so the driver is not sat on his bum wasting time…or blocking the yard
We load a lot of heavy machinery going to Europe (my old loading job) and we always helped the driver out when we could and turned the trucks around quickly.
We got the odd thank you email from the companies too

How was the bike, much damage?
Yeah, it’s poorly. Luckily I have 2, but that 1 is being broken for parts now

wounded! what was she?
That one was an RF900 - my 6th of them, I do like them. My other bike is an XF650 dual purpose thumper

Cracking bike the RF…hugely underated and makes a great tourer as well as for weekend spins.

Are you getting another RF?
Doubt it mate. Think I’ll just stick with the Freewind for now - it’s more suited to todays ■■■■■■ up roads IMHO.
I wasn’t going to get another RF except this one was offered at a price I couldn’t refuse.
They’re a damned good bike, I obviously like them since I’ve had over 100 bikes and 6 have been RF9’s - also had 1 RF6 which lasted 2 days before I decided it wasn’t a patch on the 9
It feels strange to me when you go to deliver/collect from somewhere & the people you’re dealing with are actually genuinely pleasant, I have to remind myself to smile, reply when spoken to, join in the small talk/banter, be polite etc…
