Boris at his best. BBC at it's worst

So… just watched the Boris speech at Europa, Dartford.

Excellent stuff. This guy is basically a Nigel Farage of Argument that being both Mayor, MP, and Cameron’s Nemesis - can actually now come to pass in it’s entirety.

Vision, questions answered, fears quelled.

I found myself agreeing with all of it, except one marring aspect of the whole set-up there…

The BBC could easily have pointed a directional mike at those people asking decent, well-thought-out questions that Boris easily fielded. They left us not being able to hear any questions asked…

EXCEPT…

Fast foward to BBC ■■■■■■ trying to change the subject with a question about Boris vs Cameron.

Not relevant, and I’m not surprised Boris practically flew off the handle over being asked such a thing with “mike volume up” for THIS question…

Result:

Boris: 1 BBC attempt to manipulate the event for it’s own purposes: 0.

The question is why did he just say ‘does anyone really think that the EU would impose trade barriers/sanctions against us’ instead of that ‘and’ if they did we wouldn’t also retaliate from a position of trade deficit strength’.

Or was Merkel expected to take that as an unsaid implied threat. In which case Boris is crediting her with more intelligence than she and her voters have actually got. :bulb:

Personally I’d have preferred to see David Davis in his place.
