Bored with the same old looking for a new challenge

Hi people just looking for some advice. basically I enjoy driving I really do… however I’m very bored of the same old scenery up and down the same roads everyday in the uk. I’m looking for a new challenge as in I’m hoping to find a company in the Manchester area that would give me the odd trip to just into Europe or Ireland just something a bit different than the normal everyday m6 m60 m56 etc grind lol only problem is I have no experience of any driving outside of England Scotland or wales. So any suggestions of companies in the Manchester (or surrounding area) that would give me this kind of work would be very much appreciated and of course constructive criticism is also welcome.

If youre bored with the UK as i was many years ago Europe is the answer. If youre on your own best thing i can suggest is get yourself over here and look for work, theres plenty of companies willing to take on an English speaking driver, boredom wont be on the agenda…

Make a personal visit to Brian Yeardley ltd at Featherstone near Wakefield.
They specialise in European and TIR countries for the live music business, along with exhibitions and conferences.
Class two and class one trucks, ask for Kevin Hopper.
Brian is long retired now.
Other firms, but not in.your area, are S and K in Barry, South Wales.
Drive the car down sunday, sleep in the truck, ship out Monday, Away for a few weeks.
Pulleyn in Reading.
EM Rogers, Italian work
Turners ltd and Matthews ltd.
Or if fed up with driving, there are miner jobs near Bath, no experience, training given.
Ham and Doulting ltd, if you fancy relocating.

If you`re really bored and want a proper new challenge then why not consider Canada? I believe there is, or shortly will be, a trade fair, being held at the Canadian High Commission. Some of the bigger Canadian haulage companies will be there.

Matthews being the firm who refused to bring their dead drivers body home but sent somebody to get the wagon…? Why on Earth would you want to work for someone like that?!

the job might be a good en…just dont die on the job…r.i.p. to that driver.

No suggestions for companies I’m afraid, but if you’re going to be out all week why not broaden your horizons for a home base? Hopefully you’ll get work nearby home, but if only commuting once a week, not daily, don’t worry so much about location.
Lots (most but not all) Euro work will involve weekend working. Are you (and family) ok with that?
All that said, c’mon across, everything’s fine!
