What do you think of junkies that rob oaps ? Drivers that have been smoking weed ? Burglars ? Joy riders ? Juvenile delinquents ? The list goes on , all dealt with more leniently than said case.

How would Limeyphil and Bigr250 react if say a bored journalist perused this site then reprinted some of their quotes with something along the lines of " a spokesman for the road transport industry said that drink driving shouldn’t be punished and that using a mobile phone whilst driving is perfectly acceptable". a statement not entirely untrue within the context of this forum, but totally untrue and out of context with the majority of Lorry drivers. the reader of the newspaper wouldn’t care however.
I’d be pretty peeved as I’m totally anti drink driving & I challenge you to find a single word in anything I’ve written on either this, or any other thread on this site where & support drink driving or drivers who drink!!!

Be honest and put this into context, we have a proffesional driver of longstanding that knows and understands the laws of the country and of the road, he would have seen many times the reported incidents where innocent people have lost there lives to drink drivers, there are national campaigns well publicised regarding the risks and fatalatise regarding drink driving and a proffesional driver knowingly putting his and others lives at risk as well as the chance to destroy his family simply because he choose to flaut the law is as far as many are concerned (including proffersional drivers) is absolutly unforgivable and disgusting, a for the other examples that you have mentioned im not sure what exactly they have to do with the original thread of BOOZED-up trucker

I had a car hit me from behind in the middle lane on the m4 port Talbot a few years ago,when the police came they asked me into the car and to have the breathtest.To be honest i did have a drink the night before and as I was blowing I was (zb) myself but no trace and he got the blame
