What he said. I hear all this bull about “can’t wear safety boots”, can’t means don’t want. It’s not about Elf and Safety, it’s about simple common sense. Some of the rules about PPE are a bit far-fetched, but IMO a pair of safety boots is essential; if you don’t believe me just drop a lump of steel on your toe whilst wearing sandals, like a mate of mine did. Three months off work, no compo because he contributed towards it by not wearing proper gear. Lost his big toe too, hossie staff said if he’d been wearing even ordinary Doc Martens they might’ve saved it.

Same drivers who whine about it would probably spend twice as much on a pair of clogs, just to show they’re a “real” driver. :wink:
