Has anyone ever done any class 1 work for these,if so what are they like ?
Londis will more than likely be shops/garage forecourts and Bookers will mainly be C&C stuff. Don’t think they have anything to do with the NAAFI now
Booker is ok. Mainly one drop per trailer but can be two drops. All you do is pump truck pallets to the back of the trailer for the FLT driver to take off then pick up stacks of pallets or go to collect a backload. Quite a cushy job most of the time
I see the Londis trucks which were previously Musgraves have now got Booker stickers on them.

Bookers must have bought the Londis franchise.
My advice generally is give any convenience store work a wide berth. Londis stores can be poxy corner shop jobs on residential streets… arrive with your artic on a residential street to find parked cars everywhere and nowhere to park, cracked pavements to drag heavy cages over etc. Who can be arsed with that crap when you can watch telly & read books on a loading bay or trunk A-B for the same screw.
Booker bought Musgrave’s British business last year, which included the Budgens and Londis franchises.
