def illegal for a company to tell you to tip on break or speed. thats incitement to commit an offence. if they ask you to do either ask them for a reply in writng that they will accept all responsibility for those actions ,BUT if caught YOU will still be charged and so will the company.(bet you never get it in writing to speed etc)
Depends what you mean by āencourageā I suppose.
If theyāre actively suggesting you should speed or tip on break then that sounds pretty dodgy, but there are plenty of places that do things that mean that those things would get you more money that are fine. For example anywhere that pays mileage gives you an incentive to drive faster and/or tip on break as that way you get more miles in and earn more, similarly anywhere that pays a āper loadā bonus (tippers etc).
At the end of the day as long as the bonus is productivity related and not specifically a āspeeding bonusā or ātipping on breakā bonus I would think that if a driver got caught doing something illegal on that basis then it would be the driver and not the company that ended up in the ā ā ā .
