Bologna Fiere

Hi,
I’m off to the Bologna Book Fair in the first week of April,(so no rush for replies)
I’ve checked it out on Autoroute so got a rough idea of where to go but I’d like some advice from the experts as I’ve only ever been to frankfurt and the help on here was invaluable   to get me there.

As far as I know we’ll be taking a standard curtainsider which is on hire from transamerica.

thanks all,
AD

Hi the first question are you going mont blanc or frejus.mont blanc down ito aosta follow signs milan, paege at milan turn south and follow your nose.frejus into torino then to piacenza turn south til you go to bolanga. when you get to bolanga the city has 2ringroads inner and outer and i always got confused so good luck on the way down buy yourself amap of the city you should not have any problems.

Some people say Frehus is quicker … I found the Blanc was quicker simply because you don’t seem to stop every 100 yards for a peage (can’t remember the name of the town I was going round)
Both tunnels seem to be similar prices … about £145 … suppose it all depends what you are carrying … if I was 40 odd tonnes, might be inclined to go Frehus. BUT, if you are not in a rush, the Boss isn’t on your case and as you have never been down that way, then go the scenic route!! Over the Blanc. It is spectacular. Once into Italy, as Alf says, it is pretty straight forward … more or less autovia’s the whole way and easy to follow signs. Have fun

hi flub, come off at bologna centre and follow the sign with the coloured flags onit(the sign for fiere)this will take ya straight into it.

Bologna fiere is well sign posted from the milan-bologna autopista
