Air products tend to employ direct , as for boc they tend to want agency first before direct as far as am aware. At the first lockdown boc dispensed with the agency drivers , unsure whether they have started them all back yet
In my experience BOC were the better of the two to work for. However this was on class 2, money is better on AP both class 1 & 2 though. The class 1 salary on AP is eye watering.!! Class 2 at BOC generally Mon - Fri, AP a few different shifts.
For BOC - Pertemps are the main agency and AP generally employ direct, but I believe they started to use agency drivers to then employ full time. (Don’t know what agency)
Nitrogen on AP easy life, CO2 is grief.! (Class 2)
Nitrogen, CO2, argon & Oxygen on BOC easy life(class2)
BOC you will service the vessels AP you wont or didn’t anyway.
