bluetooth headset

hi all,

I have got a bluetooth headset but the sound quality isn’t the best. Just wondering what other people use?

Cheers

Plantronics M1100, from Argos it was about £80, I got mine by using Google and picking the cheapest one on the shopping about £18 + free postage.

It took about 3 weeks to arrive though, I could have had it on “speedy delivery” which was 3-5 working days but that was £17.99 extra!

Very happy with it, it has noise cancelling only downside is talktime is 4 hours, God knows how long standby is, only takes an hour to fully charge too.

Edit- it’s also voice activated, you can say “answer”, “decline” and a few other things, although if there is any background noise it won’t pick up your voice so I tend not to use it.

Plantronics voyager legend. They are the best brand by far but you pay for it. I paid £42 wholesale price but retail is around double that. Talktime is 7 hours, standby seems to last forever but i charge every day plus i have a charger in the truck for it

Sennheiser EZ85, very small, very clear, outside noise reduction, 10hrs talktime on battery, reasonably priced and a Plantronics 220, a little bigger, again, very clear, but only 6hrs talktime, both use the same USB charger.

Motorola h350 for me, does the job but not the best, but cheap, light and durable. I have a tom tom Bluetooth cradle though, it charges and acts as a Parrot for my own phone.

work has fitted a similar thing for the work phone, and some other lorries have parrot.

snap! the mutz nutz :sunglasses:

hands free headphones so i don’t look like one of those MI5 numpties walking round the services as if they need to be on call 24/7

I have a Plantronics set, it worked pretty well when used with my Droid X2, now I have a new Droid Maxx and I can’t get it to connect for some reason ?

+2 - The best one around with 7 hours talk time. I’ve just bought my second one as I broke the other after having it for about 3 years

Off on a bit of a tangent, been on Plantronics site and I fancy a speaker phone.
Plantronics K100 anybody got one ? Priced at around £35 prob cheaper on EBay

I prefer a bluetooth speaker (or use the one in me satnav) with built in mike, the sound quality is poor and me and the wife have to shout at each to be understood, so just like being at home

Plantronics voyager legend, for me aswell, I’ve used all the jawbone ones and others and although the sound quality is as good as the Plantronics they not as reliable ,the ear hooks snap or the battery starts to fail, so there expensive but worth it !

TBH i have never used one, but i have been told that Parrot is a great device, and can easily be transferred to any vehicle as it clips on the sun visor.

These are really good for handsfree as well as listening to music on

7 Hours battery life

I just plug in the headphones that come free with the phone. Excellent sound quality, no need to charge up everyday, unlimited talktime, no looking like a knob. Oh and did I mention FREE

+1 for Plantronics Legend

Everyone I call regularly says I sound much clearer since I bought it a few weeks ago

Plantronics M1100 1 of the only ones I can use can change the size of the internal ear piece to fit nice clear sound never a problem

Those legends are alright if you’re going for the McDonald’s drive thru worker look!

Same here, perfect sound quality, can listen to my music if I want, and free!

The voyager legend plays music, satnav, txt messages and even tells you who the call is to or from. Voice activated to answer/ignore a call or read/ignore txt messages. Noise cancelling is excellent apart from wind. I have been out in the yard with fridges running, engines running and reverse bleepers near me and none of it can be heard by the caller. Very comfortable too since its rubber instead of plastic. It tells you how many hours of talktime you have left and if you press the button twice it redials the last number you spoke to

Jabra are supposed to be good but they cant compare. Supposedly all the government branches use plantronics equipment too
