I have the blue CPCS card for my Hi ab and for loading and securing but,
I’d like to know if I need to do my training from scratch to go for other plant training (e.g. 360 & dumper etc)?
Anyone know of the cost too?

That’s how I understand it to be. Cost = Lots!
the way i was told was once you have blue card you do the training for each item you want but you pass as blue compitent op. bypassing the red card trained op . i always reckon its £500 a category but at least blue lasts for five year.
renewed my 360 above 10tonne tracked last year, blue competent operator, lasts for 5 years, as i operate plant sometimes with my job the company paid, i asked the guy who did the test with what it cost, he told me the company would be paying around £600.00 for the test as they supplied the machine, however if you are paying yourself look at paying a £1000.00+. i also have forward tipping dumper and road roller on the same card and had to do seperate test’s for these, i was told the forward tipping dumper was £400.00 but i dont know what the cost of the roller was, hope it gives you a bit idea.
I have the ‘log book’ too, to record how many hour I’ve done on each machine. Not much considering all I do is drive on and off truck.
Guess it’ll quite expensive for myself to do it…
Just make it up, it’s what most people do. I don’t have 360 on my card but if I did I could legitimately notch up a few hours as we use them in the yard for lifting things, clearing up crap etc.
