bloody radio

the radio in my daf xf has a habbit of turning the volume down on its own if its played loud for any number of time it makes a little beep and drops the volume so low you can hardly hear it
anyone know if/how to stop this

It’s trying to tell you that your taste in music is crap :stuck_out_tongue:

Perhaps the built in amp is overheating due to the high volume and the radio is turning the volume down to protect it?

i was thinking it was some kind of saftey feature but if its over heating after 10 mins then its ■■■■ i like my daf but really miss the scanny sound system

Have a look in the menu sounds like you re traffic volume setting is down low kicks in when traffic info comes on radio … Or turn TA OFF

Do you have hands free for phone that cuts volume on radio.

All our xfs have crap radios poor reception, cutting out low volume etc had them replaced but same problems keep cropping up.Most off the guys have replaced them with there own units :unamused:

maybe you going deaf

Has the radio maybe got speed dependant volume control. Eg, the faster you go, the volume automatically increases to compensate for road noise and decreases when you slow down again?

Cliff, it’s VOR! :sunglasses:

I had the exact same problem in my rusty bumper, I always thought it was just so crap that when it got too hot, it needed a rest so turned the volume down. I just used to give up and turn it off for an hour.
