Bloody MAN Bluetooth?!

Anybody have bother connecting a Samsung S5 to MAN TGX Bluetooth??
“MAN MT” shows up on bluetooth screen on phone ok but when I click it the phone turns off the bloody bluetooth then wait and it comes back on again but phone not paired.

No other devices on MAN or S5 Bluetooth as wiped them all to try to get it to work.
Phone connects perfect to Volvo FH4 Bluetooth hands-free and my Lexus and Wife’s Kia!!![emoji52]

Its an Bluetooth comparability problem. Thank God I use a Lumia

My galaxy A3 pairs fine with the MAN TGX I drive.

I had similar issues when I tried to pair my Samsung phone (S6) with the Bluetooth in one of our MAN TGMs (pretty sure the same kit as used in the TGX). I somehow arrived at a point where the MAN MMT thing showed up on the phone but it wouldn’t pair. Yesterday I got it to work, by following this process:

  1. Set the lorry up to pair with a new device (ignition on, stereo on, press Settings button then tap Bluetooth then Pair with New Device and you should get a screen telling you to start the pairing process from your device and to use the default 1234 PIN.

  2. On the phone, tap Settings (or drag down from the top of the screen, tap cogwheel) then tap Bluetooth. Wait a minute until the word “Stop” in the top righthand corner changes to read “Scan”

  3. On the phone, tap “Scan”

  4. Enter the PIN when prompted.

If successful, the phone will then ask if you want to make the MAN a “trusted” device, and will also ask you to allow it to access your Contacts. Confirm both.

Thx Roymondo,
Have done as you suggested and still the Bluetooth on the phone switches off when I hit pair “MAN MMT” when phone is in scan mode!!![emoji52]

There is always a “MTU4-640371” window appears below MAN MT with a “phone” symbol instead of the “hands free headset” symbol.
When you press this it DOES pair but nothing works via it if you follow??

Frigging pain in the arse when it works dead on with any FH4 Volvo!!!

Be careful what you pair up with

I was back early last Friday and was sent to garage to pick up a unit that had been in for service. All ok and took it back to our yard, no dramas or anything.

Other lads coming back around the same time as me and the regular shuffling for parking regarding start times for Monday etc and correct trailer - usual Friday stuff for us.

Anyhow I’d coupled this unit up to the correct trailer and was in process of parking appropriately for usual driver when Bluetooth kicked in and phone call incoming was activated :open_mouth: :open_mouth: Didn’t half make me jump either :stuck_out_tongue:

Regular driver of the truck I was in was reversing nearby and his wife was on the phone (in the truck I was in) :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp: What would you do?? I put his voice on as best I could and said line was a bit iffy…shuffling paper near mic etc. I said I wouldn’t be home tonight as I was stuck and out of hours etc etc waffle waffle (I do know these 2 out of work and we go out regularly before some of you get carried away)

About 10 minutes later we are all stood about discussing the weeks antics etc. My mates phone rang, it was his wife  I heard him say. “Eh, what…I’m in the yard”. He then walked away still on the phone muttering

By the time he returned I had explained to the other lads what had happened  :sunglasses:

Good job we all get on and have a sense of humour - never heard so many swear words in one sentence before :grimacing: :grimacing:

Bummer. I can’t suggest anything other than making sure your phone software is fully up to date. I have found a few similar (but not exactly the same) reports on other websites. Sadly no suggestions for a fix :frowning:

Might be worth raising a support ticket with Samsung Tech Support? Won’t cost anything…
