Blocking the slip road

The situation was I was coming past the Cribbs Causeway exit today stuck in the usual holiday jam and for those who don’t know it the Southbound entrance slip road is very long and runs parallel to lane 1 for at least half a mile.

Now the traffic joining the m5 south can when there’s a queue utilise the long slip road to their advantage over a crammed lane 1, 2, and 3 but the lorry in front of me wasn’t having it and was basically blocking the slip road to stop this and when some cars drove around him on the hard shoulder of the slip road he then positioned himself in a way to completely stop anyone getting pass, I felt so embarrassed watching it and no wonder a lot of joe public hate us .

Surely none of you here would do that !!

What a prick !

I was very tempted to take a photo but with lots of traffic about and having the company wagon thought better of it but I would of done if I had me car as absolutely no need of it .

Must have been salary paid and not hourly

Unless the road I’m joining is completely empty, I always go right to the end of the slip, whether it’s light or heavy traffic. If you were supposed to join at the beginning, it wouldn’t be as long

No time for anybody who appoints themselves traffic police, especially lorry drivers who don’t understand “merge in turn” and will block off several hundred yards of empty road space just to enforce a bit of queue control.
In contrast, I also hate people who will anchor up on a free moving road to let someone out of a side road. Often wondered where someone stands insurance-wise if they get rear ended. Surely it’s dangerous driving?

Can’t disagree with that remark.
