I have to deliver to the above on Monday with an artic. Looking at street view main gate has signs saying No HGV Access. Can anybody advise which gate to use? Thanks
Do you have their phone number ? or google it and give them a call
I think our day drivers go or used to collect bottled water from somewhere in there, I’ll text one of them, see what I can find out. I know the 18t’s used to go in via the A44 and through the narrow street and come out the Bladen side, turn left and up to the roundabout on the A44 again, but they did have a delivery to a tea shop or similar first!
To add…just looked at other gate, A4095 Grove Road, 1st turn down from A44 or further down, Park Lane looks more suitable
Just rock up at the main gate. You can always back up.
Are you delivering to the palace itself? Or one of the estate locations? The question is of relevance as there are a few bridges on site which wont take an artic. But your employer/customer should have sorted all this.
Likely that you will be directed to one of the gates off the Stonesfield Road, which runs from the B4437 to, funnily enough, Stonesfield.

Park Lane gate could be possible, but from memory it is a bit tight - gatehouse and keypad coded gate. The other access into Bladon is an exit for joe public so is likely unsuitable.
Thanks for the replies.
Can’t collect trailer from Ferry Terminal until Monday morning to see if any further info on paperwork. Just told Blenheim Palace. It is event equipment. I like a challenge!!!

“Did you get any advice from Churchill, as where to offload?”
“Oh Yes” was heard, in a northern accent…
I used to collect bottled water from the farm in an artic, used to go up the A44 to Woodstock and turn up the High st which becomes Park Lane in through the gate which the coaches used, it is an arched gatehouse so make sure you are straight going in.
I used to do loads of work on Blenheim Estate…
51.862837, -1.399228 are the coordinates for the entrance off the Stonesfield Road known locally as “Gorrell Doors.” Plenty of room for artics, the electric gate is well off the road and slides rather than swings open.It is coded and the number is changed fortnightly so check you have one. For events they usually have banksmen based there.
If you have to use the town entrance it’s on Park Street which you access off of the A44 and High Street. The main public gates just before the High Street are out of bounds to HGVs (signed no access anyway). Postcode for town gate is OX20 1PP (this takes you to the gate itself).
If you have to use Bladon entrance it’s on the A4095 in Bladon, turn right at the White House pub, coming from the A44. OX20 1RL takes you almost to the entrance gate.
Muckaway is right - Go down the A44 and then take the high street. Its not as tight as it looks and then just follow the signs to the palace. Its a bit twisty but its okay - I took a 15’ 9" trailer in there through the arch way entrance no problem. Once your inside its huge with plenty of places to turn around. Enjoy the view it really is a beautiful place
Thanks all for the info. If I can’t get hold of the customer Monday morning will head for Park Street, Was a bit wary of it when looking at Street view but as you say it’s OK will go there.
Will be loads of AA signs for rig and takedown and people everywhere. Your load will be for countryfile live i would think, its massive. Just dont expext a quick tip, was there 4 hours for 2 pallets last year.
