When I drove buses, During the day it was mostly elderly people (Or as they are referred to, by Glasgow bus drivers… Muppets)
Some of the Muppets were just about ready for the grave, this considerate driver is just saving them the walk from the gate lol
Must be a dead end job on the buses.

We called them “Twirlies” as before half nine they where not allowed to use their pass and at twenty past nine at every stop you always heard “Am I too early (twirlie) lad?”

Used to have an old dear would always try and catch the earlier bus and would drop her change then fumble around picking it up to make you late so she could use her pass. Always refused to allow her on principle.
I just let them on, was never worth the hassle plus they where a good laugh
