Could be UK drivers working abroad!

Ambulance service manager Dave Palmer said: "One lorry went into the back of another on the hard shoulder trapping the driver who later died.

Reckons this goes back to the ‘Tailgating’ thread and proves how dangerous it is.

Thats what i was thinking.
My best wishes goto the drivers family.

Going back to Robs post, I don’t know if he was being sarcastic or not but a lot of Bomford’s drivers are Polish.UK registered or not you don’t know who is driving what any more but sub standard drivers in UK trucks makes us all bad in the publics eyes.I am not saying british drivers are perfect by any means but next time you pass a ‘knock’ on a motorway check the reg. plate  I await your comments as I don the tin hat.

FOR those who do not go abroad here in mainland-europe
they do a strict approach to this problem with harsh penatlys

IN Germany…
for those who break their laws as regards keeping the correct
distance from the vehicle in front you will when caught out have no
problems with checking the film which is taken of you and the other
vehicle plus the fine, points and also in some cases a driveing ban are given

this means for those do not hold a german driveing licence
when caught in germany you may get fined, points given to you
(held in flensburg) and in some instances a driveing ban, this
means you are not allowed to drive in germany whilist the ban is in place,

how cool is that

Some serious tailgating for me in germany then!! ¿What else can i do wrong to get banned that little bit quicker?

if you are realy sure you wish to be banned try going through
a area banned for hazerdous goods when you are carrying
these goods,or tailgate onthe A4 AACHEN–KÖLN then
you it may just be your lucky day,

u asked i posted the answer 4 u

I was just having a rant!! :open_mouth: I find it quite stressful at times driving in germany, what with the exessive traffic, miles and miles of roadworks, the sinsheim driveby musium, truck restrictions… :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

I generally do my driving in germany at night, but it doesnt always work out that way

Delboy98, its called progress, ,i have
been done once for overtakeing where
it was forbidden ,it cost me 165dm and a point
on my licence,to which it has never hapened again
as i have from that day driven within the law as its
my money and my job if i lose my licence, tailgateing
fines start at 50€ and 1points depending on what you
are convicted of and a possible ban,if they tried this
out in the UK perhaps this would reduce the amount
of tailgateing accidents,

i was just replying tounge in cheek,to your post mate,
