the best thing to do is go to fleetwood and ask to use the shower on the dock. plenty of eating houses round there, there’s safe parking at the fish dock £5.00.

it’s too wet. the turf will be a mess.
sands way in blackpool (coach park) just off rigby road (FY1 5DE) , next to the footy ground. we leave our trailers in there and park for the night if we are going there. never have any problems and just take a wander down to any of the B+B’s and give them a knock for a shower, a lot of places will let you use the showers (apparently) or just stop at the services on the M6 before you get there!

Lee G has offered the best advice. There’s also a small car park immediately behind the Texaco station on Central Drive (A5099) on your left as you head north . You can also get to the parking Lee suggests this way aswell as off Rigby Road. Put “Central Drive Blackpool” into Google earth then zoom in till you see Lune Grove. (don’t search for Lune Grove).
No facilities. Lots of takeaways short walk further north up central Drive. Or short walk west on Rigby road takes you to the prom, get a tram North to North pier for the town centre. (The illuminations will be on). Don’t look for the infamous iconic Yates’s Wine Lodge. It burnt down 
Pubs will be deathly quiet on a Monday night.

As for Phil’s invite: nice idea but realistically Blackpool Airport to Fleetwood is 10 miles up a cul-de-sac. 30 mph almost all the way. Fish dock parking is a long walk from town with no pavement. You will not get on the shipping park where the shower is, even on foot, unless you have business there. i.e. shipping out to Ireland.
Where you delivering to in B/pool?
they’ll let you on at the weekend, just say your parked up on 24 hour rest.

Known as the Gynn roundabout & Gynn pub. That’s way up North Shore. LIghts finish a mile or 2 further North. All the tablueax are along that stretch.

From past experience , I can safely say that the donkey is better looking than most of the old boilers who got shaking it all about in the Tower Ballroom.

Was thinking of going into Blackpool for a few jars tonight, but in the light of the last few posts here… and knowing how true it is! Thought maybe i’d be safer with a can of Guinness at home
