No, not the fruit, the phone! Does anyone have one? Was thinking of getting one. You can get email, internet and sat nav all in one, plus it fits in your pocket. It’ll save having to drag the lappy around.
Just want to know if they’re any good

TBH I found them a pain in the arse.
Someone would send me an email, then phone me 5 minutes later to see if I got it.
I was glad mine “broke”
and wasn’t replaced.

Not a Blackberry but i have a Nokia N95 that does all the above.
Thanks. Was talking to an OD who delivers into us. He has one, and isn’t too keen on it. I’ve been offered a Nokia 5800 free on my current o2 contract. Its a bit like the iPhone with touch screen, sat-nav, and you can watch widescreen videos on it. Looks pretty cool so going for it.

i had an n95, good phone.
dont get the n96 though its a pile of tosh, and unreliable. within 4 months of getting it my phone had been in for repairs twice and for about a month and a bit.
i got a blackberry storm back in november and after a month of getting used to it i think it’s great only problem is vodafone lock em and the few places ive been asking there hard/ expensive to unlock
other gripe is theres no wifi but as i get unlimited data with my tariff thats not really a problem
I have an E71 which does all the above, if anything the text is quite small and the qwerty keyboard is very small and fiddly to type a long accurate message. her indoors has a touchscreen Samsung Tocco which is much worse though.
how much do they cost when you are abroad to use email
I’ve got a google phone and it does all that you ask, never used it for navigation though but for phone, text, email, google earth to check access to deliveries and trucknetting it’s brilliant.

Don’t want to seem stupid…but what is Trucknetting?
I would guess Mr B means viewing Trucknet UK.
Went for a samsung Tocca instead of the 5800. Its a great wee phone. Has google earth built into it so like you said Mr B its great for checking delivery addresses and getting contact details. Its abit hard getting used to the touch screen, but much better than the 5800. I’m like a kid with a new toy!

Data is expensive but varies in price depending on your contract, but as a guesstimate I would say about £1 per message sent or received, a call to your network provider would give you a more accurate guess
