Haha ya right about the coal lads. We usually bk load out of Sanquar tiles or Carronbridge sawmill after tipping at Catrine so that would have ■■■■■■ our bk loads up.

Are you on Ken Longthorns Steve.

The B740 aint to bad, ive been down it myself with a 44t tanker, just watch out for some of the tipper brigade, they seem to treat it like the Nurburgring. It does get a bit narrow in places but nothing to worry about.

Cheers for that guys.

Oh it’s a lovely place to get in and out of especially trying to get back up the hill with a full load on and the lift axle down when it’s been raining! Then you have to turn left and turn around in some woodland to get out if you are going back towards Dumfries!

I know what you mean, especially when you get to the top of the hill and have to stop because something is coming round the corner.
I was in the wood turning for Dumfries, just after the last lot of snow, and indeed up having to follow the track right round instead of just turning in the entrance…

I took quite a lot of mud out onto the 76 by the time I was finished!

It would be a bit tight turning back to the right out o the top end Happysack that track would only ever be meant for the horse and cart days. Who are on for. Eddie.

Yes it is tight! I flattened a wee but of the banking with my trailer tyres as I turned out and back to Dumfries! Stobarts chipliner.
