Yes some good hills round there, Trindle rd. Dudley was another one, the old man always had the trader brewing up going to Round oak.

Trindle Road was nice with a load of pickled and oil on, going up or down!

Hadley & Cutts I remember well, a lot further down Parkfields from E A Smiths, I believe their office still stands next to what was once an Esso filling station where Ron Aitkin started Mainline haulage, I think there was a scrap metal company in their yard ( Smith’s ?), I can remember when it was all fields along there !

Remember my Dad telling me he had been on a coach trip up Southport and he commented on how far the tide was out and some one replied it was because Hadley and Cutts had brought all the sand down to Black Country!

Yes Curnock, Billy Wise’s was on Horsley fields but Pete was asking where Hadley & Cutts place was on Parkfield rd.

Yes one of Shelley’s outside one of my watering holes, the United services club :wink:
When I was at Ingles we did Bilston carnival every year, had some good times.

Hello Pete, yes I knew Bob Hart well, he later worked on an Everest contract with me at West Brom., I used to work all week from Carlisle at the Volvo garage at Kingstown ind estate, Bob used to feed me trailers every night up from West Brom, he retired about 5 years ago and lives in Kingswinford.

Bob was a good lad, used to do the Irish out of Penkridge for me, I think he liked the run because the 200 benson and hedges he gave me made sure he stayed on that run :wink: :wink:
