Birkenhead docks

Tomorrow I’m running a trailer over to Birkenhead for the morning boat, it will be the first time I’ve run into there so not quite sure what to expect? Hoping someone could give me a heads up on what’s what? Where to go and what I need to do etc?

I’m only dropping the trailer so won’t be boarding the ferry myself.

Thanks.

Follow 12 Queys and ferry signs entering the terminal keep straight on at mini round a bout the freight gates are in front of you
The gates open will have green lights
Make sure you have the drop reference number for the trailer your dropping,
They used to ask for photo id but don’t seem to do now, but i am a regular there and they know me, as a newbie i would have some id on me if is was you
All export trailers are dropped at the far side of yard ask for a site map as to were the export yard is.
You don’t need to tell them which lane or bay you have left it in .
When your booking your trailer in they give you a small card about size of a credit card this is your gate pass to get out don’t loose it
Watch out for shunters as when a ships in it gets busy
If your using palm couplings adapters don’t forget to remove them.

Put
“Pump Road Birkenhead” into Sat Nav and will take you there to ferry gates almost!!!
