Called in here at about 1pm Friday to avail myself of the free facilities that they are obliged to provide under the conditions of their licence
Back to the cab for a brew, a spot of snap and a read of the paper to complete my 45.
It then took me HALF AN HOUR to get out of the services and through the lights onto the roundabout

The entire place was gridlocked, with the queue starting before the petrol station on the way in and going right round the services.
By this time, the truck park was starting to fill up with cars, as the tourist hordes could wait no longer for a place in the car park in their quest for a yummy Whoppa McDog burger.
So, best avoided if you need to be away sharpish until the annual lemming migration has ceased.
The bad news Inselaffe, is that a large number of them will be heading to Deutchesland. They know , (and if they don,t they will soon find out), that the MSAs over there are far superior, in every aspect, to what passes as a Service Area in this Second Rate, America,s Junior Partner hell-hole
As are those in every other European Country that they will pass through en-route.And beyond.

Have a nice drive back home.Stick a Union Flag on your wing mirror. They,ll give you a Toot. You know you,ll enjoy that.

I went in to Hesten services east on Sunday i think it was. The toilets were shut . Everyone had to use the one toilet on the forecourt. Reading east during week mens toilets shut. Use the meeting rooms ones. Only 3. Fleet south in the week no toilet paper in any of the cubicles. Absolute rubbish.

i love that roundabout, if your coming from the a120 going north on the m11, stay in lane 2 as you go round the roundabout and you pass all the vehicles in lane one suddenly realising they are in the wrong lane, hahahaha. time it right and you can hit green lights all the way round to the m11.
but yes often see queues of traffic sitting waiting to exit the services, i bet those cars dont get clamped, yet if we parked in the caravan bays. we would get a clamping.
I had the unfortunate pleasure of Chievley Friday night, toilets were dirty and queues mile long for shop BK etc. I parked out of the way and had just got to sleep and up pulls some wobble boxes for the night out came the beer and they wernโt being very quiet or considerate
.
So 03:30 Saturday morning I returned the complement courtesy of a Scania V8, well I had to build my air up and my daily walk round

This appears to be worse at MSAโs on one side only. Whilst there maybe more space on the area itself the entry and exit are very poor. Thurrock has similar problems if you are northbound, it takes forever just to get from the M25 to MSA and back to the M25.
