Most I’ve seen look home made , I had a look before but couldn’t find one so just chained it onto the catwalk were the suzies go and twisted the handlebars so doesn’t get caught (pull 45ft containers)

The only ones I can think of for a flat wall would be the motorhome style ones

Forget the bike rack. Buy a fold up. There is only one type of fold up worth getting and that is a Brompton. I bought my Brompton 5 years ago and Could sell it for more than I bought it for tomorrow. Go to there web site to get an idea then try eBay. They are a first rate machine. They easily fit into a cab. I did the coast to Coast a few weeks ago. More cambe to bridlington. I’m semiretired now and I plan on doing the hadrians wall. Coast to Coast next week. That is from ravenglass to newcastle.when I was tramping the brompton always came with me.

Could be classed as an unsecured load and to be fair, I wouldn’t want a smack round the head off one if it came to it. Plus have you checked out the price of Bromptons? Obviously you have cos you bought one, but you could buy a few racks for the same price…
Having said that, Force4 Windward are advertising one for £150. Wonder if it’s a typo, as all the other Bromptons are well into the hundreds…
Or this one at £1300:-

I kept myBrompton on the top bunk. Of a Scany top liner behind the net.Ok they may be expensive but they are custom made to your speck. Mines a P type with 3 speed hub plus a derailleur. Done thousands of miles on it. Quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten

Bromptons are expensive because they are made in the UK.

Must get round to re-assembly my SA FW hub sometime and get it back on 49 year-old Moulton…

So are rolls royces and bentleys.they are expensive because they are are the best.quality wins every time. But some people just like rubbish.

Same as the guy who services my car. He costs 50% more but takes 1/2 the time. Sometimes it’s cheaper to pay more.

Some people know no better now. In ye olden days before I was born, a bicycle would cost perhaps one month’s wages. A decent bike still costs a month’s wages, but average Joe doesn’t want to part with a week’s wage. So ends up with a low-end Bangladeshi built contraption that ends up in the shed after three weeks tops.

As they say: Buy cheap, buy twice.
