Cheers Rog just looked with the discount just a little cheaper than me. Having said that I’m open to sensible offers. Just PM me.

My understanding was that, unless you pay for advertising on the forum, advertising was not permitted. But hey ho.

It’s best to point out that there is a lot more to training than simply price. With the voucher I am giving, folks the opportunity to buy our service at the price that some lower priced trainers charge.

When different trainers have varying facilities, fleets, choices, own test centre or otherwise, choice of manual or auto - or not, choice of w+d or artic - or not, DSA LGV Centre Accreditation or not, DSA Reg LGV Instructors or not, it’s no wonder Jo Public has problems sorting through it all. So all the voucher does is to create a level playing field on price; everything else is up for comparison.

No mention of prices or offers. no photos, just a little encouragement for members to compare other trainers themselves.

So IMO no forum rules have been broken.

Yes and No. The vast majority of candidates go for a full course - the prices of which are fixed but are currently subject to £400 discount using the Christmas Voucher (just pm me your name and address to get one).

Those with experience should have an assessment to see how much can be saved. Yesterday an experienced shunter was assessed at 7 hours for full size artic.

Anyone with concerns as to their ability or aptitude are welcome to come and have a go. It’s free and hopefully will settle the concerns.

The fact is that many of our candidates travel from all over the UK (this week one from Bangor and another from Bury St Edmunds) and assessments can be difficult. Not impossible. One guy (he’s a forum user) came from Durham, 200 miles, for an assessment and then passed CAT C and CE with us.
