Bibbys and lkw traction only

ive worked for lkw on and off since 1997
a great firm to work, fabulous work very efficient, nice people,
however if you want to make profit then forget it, unless your an o d with bought and paid for tackle that you can park in your back garden and happy making a wage,

Mike
I agree totally with what you say but it applies to virtually all the work on offer now thats available to subbies. Walters just pay the going rates. Better than some, worse than others. I have earnt over £3000 in a week but I have also done £1700. I would really like to find a company that will pay me around £2.00 per mile but I don’t think its very likely, but if anyone can point me in the right direction

i here what your saying and your right no one will pay £2 per mile
the job is getting more difficult by the day, every week some one goes to the wall but there nver seems to be any more work about and the rates we work for nowadays are the same as 2003 2004 when derv was 73ppl,
all the best and good luck

if that is 0.80 Euro per KM, that equates to £1.06 per mile :open_mouth:

I had to check the date!!! Thought I’d tripped back 8 years!!!

So how much does Walter pay for traction at the moment, and how much with a trailer?

i get £2.50 to £3.00 a mile so there is the rates out there to be had

I don’t know the rates for traction but with a trailer it depends on what country you go to.it varies from around £1.30 - £1.40 per mile for benelux and france. This is loaded and empty mileage. I think Belgium traction is around the £1.30 mark with no trailer rental.
Swiller. would you like to share some of this work?

Have you been doing the gent to hyde loads ■■?

Hi Lee

Have you tried other Walters work? Different departments pay different rates. My mate was on belgium round trip and he was on £1.33 pm but that was about 6 months ago. I saw an ad yesterday that Lidl is looking for subbies in the uk but would need a twin evap fridge and don’t know the rates. The problem with belgium work is its mostly low mileage. I normally manage around £1000 - £1200 after fuel and tolls but as you say fuel is rising every week so this will change. I want to get another year from this job then I will call it a day. If you are able to pack up now then I envy you

Good luck what ever you do.
Got to go now as Paris is calling me… I hate sunday starts.
