Hi, can anyone , ( especially Bewick, if you’re reading this ) enlighten me as to who drove this…
I have done some research and find that Brian Branson was the driver… He sadly passed away in Jan 2014… R.I.P. driver…
As far as my minimal involvement went Darren Bingley was the driver, I was not aware that Brian Branson was involved with Team Bingley, then again my interest was negligible but Darren always brought me a Bottle of Gordons Gin at Christmas for a number of years and thanked me the help Bewick Transport gave him ! Cheers Bewick.

You could just about squeeze a 240 Percy under that bonnet…that would have made it sit up!!!

Was definately Brian Branson who drove 254 . Very good driver who could compete with the best on his day.
For anyone interested in these cars ,it would probably have a Chevrolet 454 cu in engine fitted.Which would make pretty quick.

yeh, i think they were either 5.7 litres or 7.5 litres… either way , a lot of engine and not a lot of weight to pull…
heres a facebook page if you like these cars and the memories…
