A betatester needs to read every post… look upwards pls.
a couple of things that would be useful in this devise would be the ability for it to warn when getting close to time limits even when in standby mode, IE when using pda for other things
Also the overnight break would be better if integrated into the main working instead of the end button, so that it would start recording overnight stops when the day is finished,
apart from that it seems very easy to use and the finished product will be good with the csv file included
This looks like just what I’m after. I’m looking forward to testing it on my laptop once you release it for them.
Hi. Do you still have the hour guard software? If so where can I get it?

I take it you didn’t read the thread then, or notice that the last time it was posted on was nearly 7 years ago ?
Sorry for this gap from last beta.
Due to the amount of persons interested to have a version for SmartPhones finally I decided to stop this project with NSBasic and to start to port all the coding to .NET
I´m pretty new on this environment, so I expect a few problems, basically related to version of OS in the machines, machines themselves and processors.
At the moment I did prepare a version for PPC 2003. Hopefully a big bunch of you will be working with them.
The link for the new version is: http://www.geopostcode.com/Tguard/Tguard.exe
Firstly sincy your machine and rename the folder where your other beta was to something like Geopostcode Tacho Guard.nsb, in case you had the older.
I´m affraid both versions doesn´t share the file format, so at the moment for this first issue of the .NET version it must start from the scratch.
Well, now you can double click the Tguard.exe program in your computer and the installation will start.
It is very important to install it in Storage Card, so when asked to accept to install in default folder say NO, then from the drop down list select your Memory Card.
Once the installation is finished take your machine, then look for the folder Geopostcode Tacho Guard in your memory card. You will see there a file named NETCFv2.ppc.armv4, so tap on it. It will install the needed components for .NET Compact Framework in your machine.
Some machines already have those libraries in ROM, if so it will be not installed. Others it will install just the needed libraries.
Once this step is finished find in your Programs the icon for the program. May be you have several of them, click the one has not number. You can delete the others just from Active Synch.
After this, future releases will be very short downloads and easy to install as it will be just the program.
Final note: If you are not running any other NSBasic based program you can remove the runtime from Settings->Remove Programs in your machine.
Thanks for your cooperation.
Jose Adell

Hi David5l
As stated in my post the actual version is for PPC machines. So it won´t work with any Smartphone.
Once the PPC version will be final then I will release the version for SP (WM 5), version for PCs and laterly the version for SP WM2003.

the problem with that is my storage card is also my map on Tom Tom, and I use diferent cards for diferent countries…I have installed it into the storage area of my XDA11i and have no conflicts.looks like a tidy program
it should be ok but if you hard reset the device you will loose everything installing to the sd card will mean all you data is on the sd card so the program will survive a hard reset

Dear Marky
If you want to discuse something about the beta version you are welcome to do it inside the betatesters group. Just send me an email and I will add you to it.
BTW, landscape mode has been disabled until the program is ready for its first release.

Yes, the program will work, even quicker (i.e.: if you rebuild indexes), the only problem is the one mentioned by Alix776.
Currently I´m about to release the same program working on PC, so you could have a backup of your data stored in your main computer. If for some reason your PDA crashes you will lose just the last working day, or since you did the last backup.

Does this mean I could actually run the program on my laptop, or just back up the information from the program…To be honest I would prefer to run the program on my laptop leaving my pda for other uses
oppps cross posted
