Looking for some helpful info regarding the Armitage Shanks Ltd Old Rd, Rugeley, Staffordshire site, have a delivery there and can’t see the best way in or around the weight limit and low bridge ? cheers

Go at it from the power station side, I’m sure you have to enter the weight limit to get there, sorry I can’t be more help.

Off the A51 at Rugeley take the A513 to Armitage, you will have to go into the weight limit about half a mile up after the roundabout but it says except for access on it so you’ll be OK, a mile or so further on you will come to a pub on your right called the Swan, Boathouse lane entrance is on your left and Old road entrance is another 100 yards on the left.

cheers for the info was driving me mad, one way as you say has a weight limit of 7.5 except access and the other way has 14’6 bridge the other way.

Be careful to keep to the 30 MPH limit coming into Armitage. The speed camera van often sits by the entrance to the allotments just after the Plum Pudding pub. The first allotment you see after the pub is mine.
You want to be going in to the Church Lane entrance off the A513. That is where the main security place is who’ll give you directions and where I used to have to go years ago when I was driving for Edwards when they had the contract. Up the A51 then turn left/right onto the A513.

^ This. The roads are a bit crappy but you should ■■■■ it.

yeah, that’s what I do when I’ve been given my paperwork back at amazon in Swansea.

Proper way into Armitage Shanks is lift the lid and reverse on. You want to get the rear end over the water for a clean delivery. Don’t pull off to early either.
