Can someone provide some feedback on which tyre (brand) is in their opinion best for all year round, quarry/public roads and building sites - fuel economy and longevity are important points to throw into the mix.
I’ve heard that some of the Japanese brands are quite good…?
Cheers,
Robert

I had Toyos fitted to the drives on the unit i drive it pulls a Btrain and to be honest they run even, wear very well no signs of distortion .(been fitted over a yr now).Boss is fitting them on all the tippers when the bridgestones need replacing.

Thanks fella - just taken a look at their website - they look good - any idea on prices?
I specked bridgestone m840 all round on my new 8x4, seven months later I am a bit disappointed they have cut a lot, two have been removed for major repair. This is mostly on normal quarry work. They have covered aprox 51000k I think they will do the same again.

sorry no idea on prices in UK ,were a fair bit cheaper than brigestones i remember.
but aggregate hauling is the same the world over
.another thing i noticed was the tread cleaned out quickly after running through quarry slurry/mud.
jimmy.
Double coins on the drive axles seem to be favourite around here. Coupled with hankook on the steers
I run hancooks on the steers/lift and encores on the drives and my trailers
