Best Sat Nav

Hi Guys, which sat nav do you recommend? uk and europe. Was thinking about Tom Tom G0 720 any advise greatly appreciated.

the advice would be to read the many many threads on here already covering that subject. then you decide what your requirements are e.g. price/truck/easy use/easy hack/screen size.
when you have narrowed it down to a couple then ask which one of the two others suggest, otherwise you will be inundated with a myriad of different makes/units etc… which will do nothing but confuse you even more :unamused:
not trying to be funny or clever but no one knows what you need so hence a little homework then more precise question.
i prefer tom-tom go520/530 series cos they are easy to hack.
good luck

as he says tomtom 530 and download the maps which suit you best.

recomend any 520 / 720 / 920 / 530 / 730 / 930 tomtom as they are basicly the same inside and run the same software
main difference is the internal storage memory which is easily expanded with an SD card anyway

520/530 have 1GB with uk and ireland map
720/730 have 2GB with western europe map
920/930 have 4GB with western europe map and north america map

TT920 cos it’s hackable. I put the Trucking software and new UK & Euro Maps on the Harddrive of my 920, which left the SD card for music and stuff.

I bought a Tom Tom last week and had it for a day , then took it back just couldn’t work it…I then swapped it for a Garmin nuvi1390t, this is (imho) exellent, it has free maps for life and live traffic update, it tells you of any hold ups on your route and loads of other clever thing on it.
Tom Toms more than likely do the samr thing but for me this is very easy to use.
