Best route

Whats the best route to downtons warehouse in dunstable from oxford ?
Thanks

Don’t know where their depot is but I’d say A34, off at the M40/A34 junction then take the A41 towards the M25 come off and go up through Hemmel Hempstead, onto the M1 then come off for the A5 Dunstable up past the truckstop. What size trailer you pulling as there are 2 15 foot bridges on the A41.

Cheers for that got info got 14,2 trailer

Fly stright through em both then  ours are 14 foot 11 inch and get through. I think they either 15 foot or just over.

A418?

Take A41 at the top of A34 and head through Bicester then Aylesbury on A41 then take a left on A418 through Wing and out on the A418/A5 into Dunstable, I go that way everyday from Swindon.

Yep that’s the way I’d go,no need to go through Hemel at all.
I think Downton’s is on Eastern Avenue at the old Guinness yard…

Off the M40 at Oxford Services, head for Aylesbury. Signs for Leighton Buzzard past Wing. Down the Leighton Buzzard bypass to the A5 at Chalk Hill, hang a right. Big-arsed cross roads in the middle of Dunstable, hang a left, you loop round the Sainsburys petrol station forecourt at McDonalds, do three sides of the Square, Downtons is in the industrial estate opposite, round the back of the Iveco dealer.

Yeah Downtons are at the bottom of Eastern Avenue go through the gate security is on the left tell him what you are tipping or collecting park up then go into the office see them and they’ll sort you out.

You could be in for a bit of a wait if the stuff is not urgent or the stuff ain’t all there.
