Best route to take

I will probably get a bit of stick but I never got further north than Andover so

What is my best route from Warminster to leeds in a car as I’ve looked on the map and I can either go
m5 them m6
Or
M5 then m1
Or
A350 a429 m69 m1
Preferable the quickest and with less hold ups

Thanks
Chris

Take a look at going Chippenham,Cirencester,M5,M42,M1 and see what you think.

Or A343 to newbury, a34, m40, a43, m1, thats the preffered fastest route by tomtom

Through Bath to the M4 then M5 > M42 > M1 is the way I’d go.

But I like to keep the wheels turning and the cruise on for long journeys. I’m sure there’s a shorter more scenic route but I just like to get where I’m going as easy as possible.

Either that way or A303, M25, M1

As has been said A350 chippenham then A429 to cirencester or M4 to J15 and onto A419 /A417 birdlip down to the M5 then M42/ A42 M1 is i would say about the best way, and probably the quickest failing that you could run on the A429 all the way to the M40 but there are a few speed scammeras and towns to go through although the towns the A429 takes you though arent that busy normally, it’s a bit of an interesting road that one, in an artic

I wish.

This is a car journey anyway. Although I have the same ethos in my car, if I can take a 10 mile detour to save me a few minutes and 10 sets of traffic lights I’ll do it.

Then when you get to the M40 go straight across and round Leamington.
Take the A45 round Coventry and join the M69 for the M1. :bulb:

About 2am is best

I used to go through Bath every week to get to Poole, never got stuck all that much. Wasn’t in rush hour mind.
