As above really. Off to Wetherspoons in Daventry tomorrow and looking at the map it looks like there are various different routes I could take. So which way would you go?

M5, A46 onto A45 then M45 for about a mile and leave that to rejoin A45 into Daventry. In Daventry go left at first island left at second island straight on at third island, turn right and you’re there.
Looks good to me, so that’s the way I’ll go. Cheers dude!

Agree with this ^^^ my sat nav directed me towards that route once. I normally ignore it and go the way I feel is best, but I’m not ashamed to admit that that route was far better than the one I’d mentally planned.
Just out of interest, there’s only about 5 minutes difference in using the A46 from Tewkesbury turn to going up M5 and round the M42/M40 to the A46 Warwick junction.
A46 via Evesham is obviously shorter but it’s just as economical going round, especially if loaded.

Probably more economical going around my friend, but as always that depends on numerous outside factors such as roadworks etc. It’s a mental toss of the coin for me tbh as to which way I fancy.
Yeah, i check traffic on the prat nav, keeping in mind the time of day, as you say it’s a toss up.

yes i was going to say that , As you drive up the M5 from Bridgewater to J9 on the M5 , your sat nav will warn you of delays on your route Evesham to Cov on the A46 and reroute you to M5 to M42 , M40 j15 to cov ,or vice versa
This is what the map readers living in the dark ages just cant seem to understand.
