Can anyone suggest the best way to avoid the A 43 which will be shut in both directions from Brackley to Towcester,I leave Frome tomorrow and need to be at Morrisons for 9am Sunday morning.Swan Valley industrial
Estate Northampton.
Do I use Bristol to M5 to Birmingham then south to Northampton or M4 or M3 to the M25 to the M1 or A34 Oxford then go via Buckingham to the M1 ?

Don’t touch M25 on Sunday afternoon as its just as busy as weekday but with even more numpties

or if your a proper driver, get off the M40 at Banbury and take the a361 to daventry, then a45 to northampton

330,000 fans?
Even on race day, it only peaks at around 120,000. Probably the biggest attended F1 race in the calendar. However, it is still a nightmare to get out. (Memories of 2009…)

M4, A419, A420, A34, M40 off at Cherwell Valley J10, A43 for a coupe of roundabouts then follow A421, at Buckingham follow signs for MK North A422 Towcester, then at Stoney Stratford follow A508 Northampton to M1 J15, jump on the Motorway/North for 1 junction=Swan Valley.
Enjoy, 10 minutes to unload, 3 hours for paperwork [emoji22]

Depends which one your doing, Non Food is generally Morrisons 2, along Swan Valley Way or food & Booze generally goes to Morrisons 1 Cob Drive/off the roundabout.

Na don’t do the 420 , there’s a horse thing on just south of the m4 and you have The International Air Tattoo on , what muppet thought of 2 very high profile events with a piddly horse show all on the same weekend on that sort of route

In that case, I’d go M4 up to A34, adds about 20 minutes to the journey.
Bicester, Buckingham, Roade, Northampton.
Dead easy, no more than 10 mins longer than A43. Often go that way just for a change. Or as already said Banbury, Daventry, Weedon. Good road that way too just couple of twisty village bits but we use that a lot to 44t no probs.
