Best Route Hay on Wye-Blaenavon

I need to get to Blaenavon Ind Estate tomorrow from Hay on Wye. Is it best to drive down to Pontypool and back up the A roads or use the B roads from either Govilon or Brynmawr? I’ll be driving a 26t 13’6 curtainsider.

I’d go A479 through Talgarth then head towards Abergavenny then back up the A465 towards Brynmawr then the the B4248 into Blaenavon.

I wouldn’t use the B4246 through Govilon It’s not good for trucks.

B4246 has a weight limit on it, can not remember what it is but the route suggested above is your best option.

Thanks for the advice gents, spot on. Five minute unload and now on a 45 near Griffithstown. Newport and Bristol then homeward bound.
