Hi passed my cat c in october also all modules of my cpc got all my cards digi tacho etc so ready to go .
I was previously a bus driver 2008 to 2011 so have some experience of driving the most precious cargo in very stressfull situations (not that companys will let you carry DOGs##T in a cat c vehicle #NO EXPERIENCE# )
Where do i look for work to get this all important experience every body want 2 years driving experience
Ive been given 2 jobs but when they find out when i passed thay say insurance wont cover me (this is after assesments that the employer says was brilliant) Been to essex for an interview
so does anybody have any ideas where to look/apply next i live in wolverhampton so west midlands area

Agencies, print of CV’s & get them out in circulation, approach companies…basically try anything, & if that fails…keep trying!!
Things may quiten off in afew weeks from now, but hopefully then they should pick up again, good luck with your job hunt…Oh , Congrats on your pass & welcome :smiley: :smiley:

Thanks it gets a bit stressful when your constantly told you need experience .How do i get experience if no one gives you a chance ?
Ill keep trying and get somwhere one day :unamused:

Perseverence, persistence, if you don’t succeed try try again :sunglasses: …you should get summat where you are, don’t get down hearted over the knock backs, just stick with it :smiley:

hi i had the same problem when i first passed my test,you need to contact companys in your area not agency,i found a company 30 miles away that was willing to take me on.or some times you will see adverts online that say will take newly qualifieds.one last way is to apply for 7.5T job to build up experiance.im going to say though its not for everybody you looking at long hours 60 plus nights out somtimes six days a week,its a life stile not a job you either love it or hate it good luck

Have you tried A F Blakemoe (Spar). I think that they used to be prepared to take “new” drivers.
