Or this one. This one is local to me.

My chosen six although there could be others, all from the classic era no modern or foreign;

AEC Ergo preferred to the other two makes it just had a bit more style.

Again I recall this cab catching my eye when first seen.

Of the Foden marque I really liked this style.

Another eye catcher and an unusual door entrance.

What other make had such a design as this Trader very unique.

Had to include this Seddon seeing as I spent many days away in this type of cab quite plain but it does look a proper Lorry!
Cheers Franky.

Well, for me it would be;

  • Scania 2 series
  • DAF 28/33/3600
  • DAF 95
  • DAF 95 XF
  • Volvo F10/12
  • ERF E series
  • MAN F2000 Commander XT
  • Scammell Crusader
  • Scammell Contractor

Cheers, Patrick

AEC MKV

These would be my choice. Cant make my mind up as to which of these three is the “best” looking but it would be any one of them really.

The 1980`s were great! :wink:

Hey, the red one today,

Eric,

My “Best Looking” award for the current-production cab goes to the recent Renault range, and from the last 20 years or so, a nicely-liveried Foden Alpha 2 takes a lot of beating. Leyland had some beauties back in the day, with the 1948-style cab, the short-door LAD cab and the bonneted Comet75/90, but my ultimate has to be the 1948-55 Foden S18, either flatfront or V-front, as long as they had the ribbed bumper bar fitted.
