Many moons ago, when I worked in the workshop of a well known Skip firm, a regular collection was a skip from SPD, think they’ve gone now, iirc they became Lowfield Disribution, one of the products they delivered to Supermarkets was Persil, Daz etc, packed in cases of 24, if one was damaged they skipped the other 23, it used to be the last collection of the day, we used to pull it in the workshop on a pretend defect, workshop shutters down, big share our, 19. Yard skip, full, not a lot left by morning.
grumbo:
A friend of mine used to work for a firm that picked up skips (South London, Kingston , Sutton, Epsom ) for WH smith , which were magazines out of date, i.e the next months issue had come out.To make them useless they used to pour dye in the skip to wreck them…
Turned up early one day and bingo , had a result at the car boot.
