Best companies to work for in the Leeds/York Area

Hi
I am a class 2 driver and looking for a new job.
I am in a stable job at the mo so no huge rush but wanted to get some feedback on the best/worst companies to work for in the Leeds/York area.

We run some class 2s at YDL just outside York. Pallet distribution though so can be a lot of messing about.

Farsley Transport in Leeds, dunno if they’re taking on for Class 2 at the moment though but worth a try.

I was there a few years ago doing night trunks. Not the best, not the worst. Place is a bit scruffy, motors aren’t particularly well looked after and fairly dirty, especially inside where they get quite muddy because they do a lot of farm/rural deliveries but to be honest that is more down to the individual drivers not giving a toss. The lorries all drive OK, it’s just that a general lack of cleaning - not that there’s much more than a jet with no soap to use, not bothering replacing bulbs, management leaving minor defects until the next service. Last trunk used to get in around 7am and when I used to start at teatime most of the day lads were back. I wouldn’t use it as an example of how all companies run and one guy who ended up where I am now was shocked at the difference but you’ll get experience if that’s what you’re looking for.

I see their Class 2 and Class 1 wagons around here often and they’re in about the same state as they were when I used to go in there so I doubt anything has changed.
