Been asked this question on an job application form, anyone got some good answers?
Please give an example of how you remain motivated when working alone

answer… watch skygo on my iPhone

■■■■■■■■■■■■

Personal Integrity, and streaming ■■■■ obviously !!

Put down the owners wife…always works for me… failing that you could put down in every city I deliver to I know theres a bike that I need to ride…lol

Working alone gives me an opportunity to cause mischief without being found out. No one likes a snitch

Some good answers so far, thought when I posted this, ‘bet I don’t get one serious answer’

To early in the morning to get a serious answer

What sort of job you applying for… driving of course but doing what roll… i.e. night driver, etc etc… :grimacing:

They will be looking for an asset something along the line if -

“A desire to perform my job to the best of my ability in order not to let myself or others down.”

It’ll be some ■■■■■■■■ like that they want.

An old pal of mine went for a job a while ago and when your man asked why he should employ him my mate said…“If in month I’m no good you can sack me”.
Apparantly the bloke was thrown off balance and said ok.

How about - “I just think of the tracker, and realise that i`m NEVER alone”

I remain motivated when alone every time I see a 7.5 tonner with an agency helmet at the wheel.

Get the wife to ring up and moan at ya

Few options for this one either:
“I’m never alone as the voices in my head keep me constant company”…Best not use this when applying for a job with an airline.

or

“As a professional driver of the highest standards I am at my best in my own company and have excellent problem solving skills when working alone. Also my ability to drive and be courteous and respectful to other motorists even in the harshest environments mean I can use these techniques to be polite and customer focused when meeting clients for delivery and collection of products. Furthermore my time alone gives the opportunity to think of ways to work better and smarter to become an indispensable employee to the company. Not to mention being able to pull my tallywagger till it explodes whenever I want”.

You were doing really well Dave, even if a little sickening, right up until that last sentence… ho hum, can’t win them all.

Last sentence is optional, the first bit will get anyone the job…
Cheese and some ■■■ blowing is all these companies want to see, and give them the impression you will be a submissive / forward thinking / customer focused / singing from same hymen sheet / out of the box (and any other buzzword bollox we can think of) employee and your onto a winner in most cases…

I stay focussed so as to avoid damaging kit/product/people. This is quicker, and less stressful, than filling in endless forms, attending investigation/counselling interviews. It also enables me to get back to people I care about quicker and sleep easy at night.

honest reply
I remain motivated by thinking of the brown envelope at payday.
