Pertemps at Crewe used to be OK
Pertemps are nationwide but I’m not sure if they have a Driver office nearer to you.
Don’t go self-employed with an agency unless you know it’s better for you.
Ask about tax free mileage and food allowances for PAYE mobile workers,
Pertemps call it MAP (Mobile Advantage Plan) and they claim it for you.
You can see your wageslip online BEFORE it goes into the bank on Friday
with their ePay system.
Most Agencies are [dung] but Pertemps are less [dung] than other [dungy] Agencies.

Best Connection (Crewe and Hanley I think) usually have plenty of work, but it certainly won’t be in the c£10ph bracket.
PPS in Stoke are good, they only do paye, (no s/e or umbrella) and they seem to have plenty of work.
Employ in Ashbourne are advertising all over the city with work at Sainsbury’s but they’re full of hot air and well worth avoiding.
ATR on basford bank are ok, did a few shifts with them before I got full time work…mainly clipper/new look.

Never had a problem with Employ, I’ve always found them to be refreshingly honest ( surprisingly ) compared to other agencies I’ve worked for, if theres no work they tell you in advance rather than leave you hanging on so you can find other work elsewhere. Never had any problems with money either invoices always paid on time and correctly.
