this bridge is buried in the absolute town centre…you just wouldnt go near it in a million years. it has to be johnny flipflop with a basic satnav late for the dublin boat,or similar.
GIVES THE GOSSIP BIG TRUCK…IT COULDNT HAVE BEEN YOU.SO WHAT TALIBAN IS FLAVOUR OF THE MONTH THIS WEEK■■?.
ps,its either 11 foot 6,or 3.4 meters,or thereaouts,depending on your tape measure…
heres the 1st rigid 24 hours previous where the driver did not realise he had hit anything…honest…he didnt…thats what he said…
I used to drive a furniture pantechnicon through Banbridge in 1972/73, never had any problems, followed the signs and drove up the slip roads. Had close shaves under the one at Drogheda though, I’m sure the rivets on the roof got polished a few times.
hope the imperial inn is going strong …boss used tae phone them in the 80s and ask how many o his drivers were in ! hehe cant mind the name o the one down a bit (was a bit o a biker joint).
only ever driven through the place, but the bridge is a landmark, and it would be hard not to see somethings wrong…google maps streetview shows how obvious it is…it had to be a flipflop with the must make boat button energised.

na the imperial was the place in the 80s ,we parked at a big carpark and walked down, used to stop at the baths to clean up but …one evening we woke up (before going out for a cup of tea or 3) to 2 landies and an number o rifles pointed at us advising us to park elsewhere

Are you sure you were in Banbridge and not Jonesborough!!![emoji28]
na we only stopped in a certain few places Banbridge (imperial inn),larne(upstairs at Robinsons bar ,fell down the stairs more than once) Bangor (bar was opposite car park up from the firestation) for beer etc , aye some one phoned saying 2 wagons were abandoned at the baths ,our reversing wasny that bad Boss used to start phoning at Banbridge then the Bangor one ,then Robinsons
I remember this bridge from years ago when I was a lot younger en route from Larne to southern Ireland with a tipping container trailer. If I recall correctly the signed diversion used to run through a housing estate.
