Belkin tunebase fm live, can I plug in to 24v lighter socket?

Hi tech fans.
I’ve looked into getting an fm transmitter, and this one looks pretty good.
Has anyone got one?
And if so,will plugging it in to my 24 v ■■■ lighter socket shag it up?

No

You’ll need a 12v dropper

i bought one 6 months ago and have never used it
cos it dont work as cab socket is 24 v
WTF is 12v dropper

It will work but only for a week before it packs in. Used to have 1.

I recently got myself one of these ebay.co.uk/itm/320891440250 much cheaper and for the price I am very impressed, I use it on batteries though

Thanks for the replies!
Maybe time for a rethink.

You can get interference if the source volume is too low, I put my mp3 player to max volume which will give a stronger signal I guess, and then use the radio volume to adjust the level normally.
