Just came across this on a canal site. Nice when 2 interests coincide. :smiley:

Welshpool Lorry ends up in Canal. Water rescue working to recover lorry, carrying 28 tonnes of sugar beet pellets.

No point going fishing in that canal for a while, the fish will be well fed for sometime on the spilt beet pellets

I was thinking the same, I’ve never seen a bulk tipper breaking the speed limit so God knows how this happened.

there’s a bulker gone over on a roundabout near me today :open_mouth: i can’t do links,but it’s in the leicester mercury on-line.

It is indeed the Monty, but this section is currently only navigable to small boats, there are four major blockages between the accident site and Refail.

As much as the humor value is up there, I really feel for the driver. That must have been a scary experience. I know I wouldn’t want too moor my tipper there. On the bright side i think it’s a section 19 where CART can remove vessels for non payment of fees.so the lift out is sorted.
