BEES TRANSPORT

Heres one I took at Windy Ridge cafe

Driver was Bob Jones from Hinkley depot. He used to run Cornwall evey Monday over night in Redruth or Penzance. Then run up north coast of Cornwall and Devon then back up to Hinkley.
Had this one blown up to about 2ft x 2.5ft looked really nice.

Found this looking through some old pics of my dads,

I worked at the Morley depot, as a driver from 1985-1990, when they closed, I think they went belly up. A good company to work for, as said previously, they had big contracts for Blue chip firms. Sony, Sanyo, Aiwa, etc also carried ciggys a lot, in plain trailers though. I think their demise came about as Hardman Isherwood (Hi-way Express) were cornering the market in Electronic gear.

my uncle, jimmy morton, drove for them in the late 70s-until they ended I think. I think he was on wagon and drags I think. I remember him coming up to Aberdeen about 1980-81 and parking it up for the night. he left school and was on smiths of Darvel, then McKinnons of kilmarnock, working london most of the time. leaving on sunday and coming back wed-thursday. he done a lot of whisky out of johnie walkers kilmarnock…
