bedworth haulage

Saw a nice new 750 Volvo at Chelmsford last week…in their colours , the big bouncer / boxer was called Rosco… a real nice guy.
I worked for HSF through them and the money was always spot on and pretty good.

Want to give us your side of the story? Do you work for them too?

You’re so mysterious!

The facts, 6 on 2 off £130 per day self employed no night out money, got 2 mates there and my dad is in the office, we dont get on though

I suppose if you’re self employed you can claim the £25 of that £130 as tax free night out money.

Bought the going rate really ( I wonder if he expects 15’s for his £105 per day though) & at least all the tackle is top notch, let’s face it fridge work isn’t exactly hard. How many would rather be in a Daf cf or an axor for an extra 20 per day though?

A trucks a truck at the end of the day. If you’re living in it for the week you’d soon get used to the foibles but on a day to day basis; i don’t care what i drive…

Then again, don’t think I’ve been in ‘brand new’ vehicles. They’re always at least 2-3 years old with 1/4 to 1/2 million clicks on it

In answer to the above , no mystery and no I dont work for them . What has been said is 100% correct in Adams post , 6/2 shifts , bit of euro , lots of bananas , good kit and decent pay . They are nothing to do with M & R any more and run a mixed fleet from Coventry .
The gaffer and his lad are reportedly good to work for , if you dont want to take my word for it … Ask Switchlogic .

Yep, would be my first port of call if looking for a new job. Word of warning though, they don’t suffer fools gladly. They’ve all been there and done it so if you’re the sort of driver who’s favourite phrase is ‘Im not doing that’ then you’re better off elsewhere. Look after them and they’ll look after you, simple.

I won’t labour it Shade but it is my manor round there for the past ten years. I’m rarely wrong on stuff like that as I’m a bit of an anorak (except that DHL don’t own Canute apparently).

I’ve nothing against the bloke & wish him all the best, he’s got style, I’ll give him that. He’s made it for himself through some tough times, good luck to him!

Agreed Rob , the " other company " never exsisted , and as I say above , the numpty said he drove for Bedworth Haulage . Whether he did or not is another matter .

Fair play, I think that thread might be one of my favourites!

(Im only about 4 years late on this thread) Bedworth Haulage Owned and run by Robbie Thacker, a top man, never worked for anybody better,! proper transport man, ex owner driver and former owner of Anglo Dutch agents, worked for him for 13 years, always had good money and top spec motors! lot of respect for the man, never had a boss as good, calls a spade a spade wants a decent amount of work for good money, dont have to tear about all above board work, a stand up guy! cant say anymore really!

Well Vosakiller, that’s an excellent first post you’ve made. Do you currently work for BH? There is also a ‘Jimmy in Rugby’ here too that apparently works for them too?

Robbie had his mug in the Trib this week some military thing

can anyone tell me the usaul good or bad cheers got interveiw tomorrow

Well these people advertised for weekend drivers last month and I applied and left my phone number —nobody rang me back. Think it was a set wage for 2 days work.

Formerly M&R and before that AngloDutch. I worked for them when they supplied drivers to HSF so I’ve no experience of Bedworth but it’s run by decent chaps who I always got on with and if I needed a job in the future I wouldn’t hesitate to ring them.

Bedworth pronounced Bedduth
by the locals not me i;m from Whitnash
