Has anyone thought that those multi-axled Bedfords may have had one of Bewick’s 240 Gardners shoe-horned into them? After all, we don’t know just how long ago he started with his scam, do we?

Picture the scene as the thing accelerates out of a junction and that diabolically under geared steering breaks both arms and wrists as the wheel comes back as it centres.Also just hope it doesn’t need to stop quick with those weird brakes.
